Thoughts From Alberta Anne

June 24, 2016

I had a visitor to my home this morning. I noticed that she kept looking around and then would sneak a look at me.

I finally asked what's going on with you. Her answer was "I had no idea how much you were like your mother."

What do you mean? I asked.

"Look around your home. Your colors, your style of furniture; it's all just like her. You are becoming just like your mother!"

My answer to that one - I can't think of anyone I would rather be like. My mother, Ms Alberta was one of the strongest people I have ever known.

Ms Alberta's Birthday

Today is August 1, 2016.
If she were still alive on this earth, Ms. Alberta would be celebrating her ninetieth birthday.
Happy Birthday in heaven, Mother. I miss you still but I know we will meet again when Christ returns. I love you.

Quote from Stairway to Heaven

Death changes everything

Time changes nothing……

I still miss the sound of your voice,

The wisdom in your advice,

The stories of your life,

And just being in your presence.

So, no, time changes nothing

I miss you as much today

As I did the day you died.

I just miss you.

Quote from Heir of Hope: Return to Ironwood Plantation (Ironwood Plantation Family Saga Book 2) by Stephenia H. McGee

"Forgiveness doesn't mean what they did is okay. It doesn't mean everything is magically better. It doesn't even mean you have to restore a relationship with that person or trust them again.

Forgiveness simply means you let go of the burden that drags you down. It gives you peace."

From the Song NOW THE DAY IS OVER by Sabine Baring-Gould 1865

Now the day is over,
Night is drawing nigh, Shadows of the evening
Steal across the sky.

Jesus, give the weary
Calm and sweet repose;
With Thy tenderest blessing
May mine eyelids close.

When the morning wakens,
Then may I arise
Pure, and fresh, and sinless
In Thy holy eyes.

Glory to the Father,
Glory to the Son,
And to Thee, blest Spirit,
While all ages run.
